ON THE RECORD

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 23, 2026

This policy explains what information withalibi.com collects while Alibi is in its “coming soon” stage, and what we do with it. We keep it short and plain.

01

Who we are

Alibi (“we”, “us”) runs withalibi.com. Alibi is operated by Jean Nikitin-Gosse, based in New York, United States.

Questions or requests: withalibi@gmail.com

02

What we collect

  • Your email address, only if you type it into the waitlist form, along with the time you signed up and the IP address you signed up from. The IP address is used only to stop spam and automated sign-ups.
  • Your messages, if you use the live chat, along with anything you share in them, such as your name or email address.
  • Basic technical data that our hosting provider records automatically when any page loads, such as IP address, browser type, the page visited and the time. It’s used to keep the site running and secure.
  • Anonymous usage counts from cookieless analytics: for example, how many visitors view each page. These counts don’t identify you and use no cookies.
  • How you use this site, if you allow it. See “Cookies and site analytics” below.

We don’t use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. The trailer on this site shows example clients only.

03

Cookies and site analytics

If you’re happy for us to, we use cookies to learn how people use this site, so we can make it better. That covers things like the pages you view, the link or campaign that brought you here, how far you scroll, what you click, how much of the trailer you watch, and whether you start or send a form. We also note your rough location (country, region and city, worked out from your IP address, which we don’t keep) and your type of device and browser.

To spot where the site is confusing, we also keep a short replay of how each page looked as you moved through it. Replays never include what you type: form fields, your email address and the live chat are always hidden.

In the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, or if we can’t tell where you are or your browser sends a privacy signal, a popup asks first. Until you choose, we only count the page view anonymously, and saying no is as easy as saying yes. Elsewhere, a small note lets you know, cookies are on from the start, and the note accepts by itself after 20 seconds. Choose “No thanks” at any time and we delete everything collected about your browser.

If you join the waitlist or claim a company row while cookies are on, we connect your visits to the email address you gave, so we can see how people find Alibi.

Our own cookies work only on this site:

  • alibi_consent remembers your answer to the banner, for a year.
  • alibi_vid is a random ID that tells your browser’s visits apart. It’s set only while cookies are on and lasts 13 months.
  • alibi_sid marks the current visit and ends after 30 minutes without activity.
  • alibi_forget is set only if your request to delete your data hasn’t reached us yet, so your browser can send it again.

The chat button in the corner is a live chat run by tawk.to. It appears only while cookies are on, and it sets its own cookies on this site:

  • twk_uuid_… lets a conversation carry on when you come back. It lasts 6 months.
  • twk_idm_key and TawkConnectionTime keep the chat connected and end when you close your browser.

While the chat is on, tawk.to also receives the page you’re on, your IP address and your type of device and browser. “No thanks” closes the chat and removes its cookies. To delete a conversation you had with us, email withalibi@gmail.com.

If you say no, we only keep an anonymous count of the pages you view, with your country, type of device and where the visit came from. There’s no ID or cookie that could tell your visits apart. You can change your mind anytime with “Privacy choices” at the bottom of every page.

04

Company claims

On the Coaching Payments Complaint Index (withalibi.com/index), a company representative can claim a row. If you do, we collect three things: your name, your work email address and, optionally, a statement.

We use them to check that your email address is at the company’s own domain and, if we approve your statement, to show it on that company’s row. Your name appears beside an approved statement. Your email address is never shown.

Supabase stores claims as well as the waitlist. A claim is not a waitlist signup: submitting one doesn’t add you to the waitlist, and we won’t email you about Alibi’s launch because of it.

We keep a claim until you ask us to delete it or we take the statement down. To ask, email withalibi@gmail.com.

05

How we use it

  • To email you when Alibi opens, and occasionally about Alibi’s launch and early-access offers.
  • To reply if you contact us.
  • To keep the site and the waitlist secure and working, including blocking spam sign-ups.
  • To understand how people find and use this site, and to make it better.

We don’t sell your information or share it for advertising, and we don’t use it for anything else.

06

Who helps us

We use a few service providers that handle data only on our behalf:

  • Vercel, website hosting
  • Supabase, storing the waitlist, company claims and site analytics
  • An email service provider, sending emails
  • Vercel Analytics, anonymous usage counts
  • tawk.to, the live chat

We may also share information if the law requires it, or if Alibi is sold or merged (you’d be told first).

07

How long we keep it

Your email, and the sign-up details stored with it, stay on the waitlist until you unsubscribe, ask us to delete it, or we close the waitlist. Replays are deleted after 60 days, and other site analytics after 13 months. Chats stay in our tawk.to account until we delete them, and we’ll delete yours whenever you ask. Technical logs are kept for the period our hosting provider sets, typically a few weeks.

08

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe with the link at the bottom of any email.
  • See, correct or delete your information by emailing withalibi@gmail.com. We’ll respond within 30 days.
  • Turn cookies on or off with “Privacy choices” at the bottom of every page. Turning them off closes the live chat and deletes everything our analytics collected about your browser.
  • Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: we never track you across sites, and if your browser sends either signal, we ask before turning cookies on.
  • California and other US state residents: you have the rights above, and we don’t sell or share personal information as those laws define it.
09

Children

This site isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you think a child gave us an email, contact us and we’ll delete it.

10

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limited, password-protected access to the waitlist and site analytics. No system is perfectly secure.

11

Where data is stored

In the United States.

12

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the effective date above. If a change is important, we’ll email the waitlist before it takes effect. Alibi will publish a full privacy policy before it starts handling any customer data.
